What is acrygel?

Applying extensions or artificial nails is a common practice in the world of manicures and nail salons. To achieve this, there are various techniques that allow for a nail prosthesis that is both practical and aesthetic. For example, there is UV gel, acrylic resin, and a technique that combines the two: acrylic gel.

Acrygel, or acrylic gel, is a product obtained from a mixture of UV gel and acrylic resin. UV gel is a liquid or viscous product that solidifies under a UV LED lamp. Resin, on the other hand, is obtained from acrylic powder and liquid monomer. It solidifies and dries in the open air.

In nail design, acrylic gel is a two-in-one product that has the advantage of combining both techniques and benefiting from their advantages. The mixture of gel and resin creates a texture that is thick, viscous, and non-drip, making acrylic gel easy to work with. This texture also gives the gel perfect adhesion to natural nails.

Characteristics of Acrygel

Acrygel takes the form of a malleable and flexible gel to lengthen the nail. Its flexible texture makes it easier to work with. Highly viscous, it doesn’t drip and is very easy to file. Acrylic gel is odorless. It contains no chemical agents and poses no danger to the nail or the environment in general.

Acrygel and polygel are both names for acrylic gel. However, some products may differ due to their composition. There are those that contain polymers (several monomers) and those that are monomers. But it’s a matter of chemistry. The results can be the same.
